Computing & Analysis)
A Windows 3.1 (tm Microsoft) program for bookkeeping the Pro
Football box-score stats and predicting the scores of Pro
Football games using a variety of methods. The included
database has historical data for the 1995 regular season and
play-offs, plus the scheduled games for the 1996 pre- and
regular seasons.
This is a shareware product. You may distribute copies of this
disk to your friends for their evaluation. If you use this
product, you are expected to register (see REGISTER.TXT). The
program may be uploaded to bulletin boards and on-line
information services. If you charge a fee for distributing this
product, you must have written authorization (see VENDINFO.TXT)
unless you are recognized by the ASP.
There is no manual provided with this version of the program.
However, there are extensive help screens which give detailed
instructions covering the content and purpose of each screen and
menu item.
This program requires Windows 3.1, a 386 or faster CPU, at least
4 Meg RAM, and approximately 1.5 Meg of disk space for the
program and 2.5 Meg per year of data. This version will require
a total of approximately 6.5 Meg by the end of the 1996 season.

INSTALLATION:
With the above files in a directory on the hard drive (e.g.,
C:\COMM\DOWNLOAD), start Windows, and from the Windows Program
Manager select File, then Run...
In the Command Line box, type in x:\path\SETUP, where x:\path is
the drive and path where the program is stored, and then click
on the "OK" button. For example, if installing from the above
download directory you would type C:\COMM\DOWNLOAD\SETUP and
then click on "OK".
The installation program then suggests a subdirectory in which to
place the program and all related files. This subdirectory can be
changed if desired. It is strongly recommended that a empty sub
directory be used to facilitate later removal. The subdirectory
in which the program is to be installed may be the same as the
one in which the SETUP and program files are stored.
The setup routine will then transfer the program, library, and
data files to the indicated subdirectory.
The user will then be asked whether or not to create a program
group and icon for the program. Normally this is answered yes.
At this point the program has been installed and is ready to run.
--------------------------------------------------------
To facilitate removal of the program, all files associated with
this program (program files, data files, and libraries) are
placed in the designated subdirectory. No files are created or
modified outside of the designated subdirectory. The program can
be totally removed from the system by deleting all files in the
designated subdirectory, deleting the subdirectory, deleting
the program icon from the program group, and deleting the
program group.
